Solar & Battery Storage
Future-proof your home and enjoy energy independence with a tailored system that includes battery storage.
When you install solar panels and a battery, your panels will generate electricity during the day to power your home. Any excess electricity not being used at the time will be stored in your battery, so you can power your home with solar energy day and night.

Electric vehicle charger
Cars account for around half of Australia’s transport emissions, but switching to an electric vehicle can reduce your emissions and running costs. Installing a charger at home allows you to recharge your car up to 3x faster than a standard power outlet. Through the program, you can purchase from a range of Australia’s most popular EV chargers.
- Zappi
- Sigenergy
- Tesla
Single phase. Additional hardware required if adding to battery storage.

Hot Water Heat Pumps
Hot water heat pump systems work by extracting heat from the surrounding air, then using a heat exchanger to heat water rather than an element. This uses far less electricity than a conventional electric hot water system, and can be run on solar power, dramatically reducing your running costs.
We have partnered with Reclaim Energy for their quality hot water heat pumps:
- Quietest systems, average noise level of just 37 dB
- Australian-made tank and controller
- Glass-lined tanks ranging in size from 160 to 400 litres
- Up to 80% energy savings
- Smart control design aligns the most cost effective electricity tariffs, using solar first
- Up to eight operational modes, including one-shot boost, multiple timer and temperature control, holiday mode
-Excels in cold weather
- Advanced technology - no backup booster required
- 7 year warranty for hot water heat pumps and controller (includes parts and labour)
- 8 year warranty for hot water heat pumps and controller with WiFi systems (includes parts and labour)
- CO2 refrigerant is more eco-friendly

Split System Heating and Cooling
(reverse cycle)
In Victoria, heating uses the most energy in the home. Upgrading to an electric reverse cycle split system is one of the most energy efficient, lowest cost heating options available.
Fujitsu Lifestyle Range Split System Air Conditioner (pictured above)

Alternative sizes and whole-of-house or ducted systems are also available. Prices include standard installation with up to 5m pipework and 20m of electrical cable run. Victorian Energy Upgrade (VEU) rebates may be available based on eligibility criteria and range from $200 to $2,500 depending on the type of unit being installed and replaced. The Too Hot To Handle Team can provide a tailored proposal, based on your specific circumstances.

Draught Proofing
Draught proofing stops warm air from escaping your home in winter and hot air from entering in summer, saving you money and making your home more comfortable. Fixing sites of air leakage is typically the first step to achieving thermal efficiency, where up to 25 percent of heat gain during summer, and up to 25 percent of thermal loss during winter can occur.
Draughts can exist in any entry point in your home including:
- Gaps around doors and windows
- Exhaust fans
- General penetrations such as pipes etc
- Above curtains and drapes
- Old or disused wall vents
- Chimneys.
We’ve partnered with Ephe, whose Draught Proofing Audit is a one-hour educational inspection covering all sites of air leakage within your home.
This audit will identify and itemise all of the opportunities within your home and the recommended products that can be used to fix unwanted draughts, giving you all of the answers you need if you were to tackle draught proofing as a do-it-yourself activity.
Ephe will also provide a quote to complete the suggested works, discounting the audit fee if works exceed $1,000 in total.

Home Insulation
Ceiling Insulation
Effective ceiling insulation is the best barrier against the heat in summer and the cold in winter, and can save you up to 20 percent on your energy bills. Our partner Enviroflex offers both Fletcher Insulation Pink Batts® and Polyester Solutions PolyBatts, providing a solution that suits your specific needs.
Underfloor Insulation
It’s estimated that you could save at least 10 percent per year on your energy bills with underfloor insulation, but installing it is dirty work!
Underfloor insulation prevents air draught and creates an insulating barrier under the floorboards. It can be retrofitted to existing homes that have a sub-floor and most new-builds that have a requirement for floor insulation. It's also a great solution for insulating the edge and/or the underside of slabs on the ground.
Wall Insulation
Envirowall is ideal for retrofitting insulation in older homes. It fills the cavity between internal plasterboard and external façades using a blow-in technique, ensuring minimal disruption. This method can be applied externally through brick, brick veneer, double brick, and weatherboard, or internally through plasterboard. Envirowall not only provides thermal benefits but also improves acoustic insulation, making it an effective solution for both external and internal walls.

Home Energy Audit
A Home Energy Audit, also known as a Residential Efficiency Scorecard Assessment, is a comprehensive evaluation of a home’s energy use and efficiency. Conducted by a qualified assessor, this audit involves an in-depth examination of the building’s structure, insulation, heating, cooling, lighting and appliances. The assessment identifies areas where energy is being wasted and provides tailored recommendations for improvements. The goal is to enhance comfort, reduce energy bills and minimise the household’s environmental footprint. The resulting Scorecard gives homeowners clear insights and actionable steps to make their homes more energy-efficient and sustainable.
Standard Scorecard Certificate includes:
- An official Scorecard Certificate.
- A one-on-one in person consultation during the Scorecard assessment.
Comprehensive Scorecard and Report includes:
- An official Scorecard Certificate.
- A comprehensive report outlining findings, upgrade options and a variation to validate the recommended upgrades and how they will improve your home's emissions, comfort and running costs.
