Barwon Water supports households with water saving initiatives including the WaterSmart Home Toilet program, the WaterSmart Washing Machine Rebate, and the WaterSmart Home and Garden Rebate Program.
The WaterSmart Home Toilet Program supports residential customers to save water in the home by upgrading an old inefficient single flush toilet cistern or an old leaking dual flush toilet cistern with a new efficient toilet cistern. The program is valued at $360 and is offered free to eligible residents.
The WaterSmart Washing Machine Rebate is available to eligible residential customers. A $200 rebate to replace a top loading washing machine with a new eligible front loading washing machine for a purchase over $700 and $100 to replace a top loading washing machine with a new eligible washing front loading machine with a purchase price under $700.
The WaterSmart Home and Garden Rebate Program supports residential customers to save water around the home and garden by purchasing eligible water saving products. The next round of this program will open in September 2026.

Ephe is a team of accredited residential energy efficiency assessors based in Geelong. Their primary focus is to provide unbiased feedback on a home's thermal efficiency and energy consumption. They utilize NatHERS-endorsed software and the Residential Efficiency Scorecard tool to calculate the home's comfort levels, running costs, and greenhouse gas emissions, all while considering the homeowner's personal motivations and goals.
Enfort provides expert home energy and thermal assessments to help residents improve home comfort and efficiency. We offer two tailored packages. Our Premium NatHERS Home Energy Rating Assessment is an accredited, 2-3 hour evaluation. We create a 3D home model, assessing many elements including insulation, draughts, windows and appliances, to provide an official Home Energy Rating Certificate and a detailed 20+ page report, including rebate and upgrade guidance. Alternatively, our Standard Assessment offers the same thorough 2-3 hour inspection using a CSIRO-developed tool to calculate an energy star rating, report and recommendations, but excludes the formal NatHERS certificate. Both options deliver the expert insights needed to make smart, cost-effective decisions for your home.
